Our trainer has now been riding for almost 40 years.Originally setting out competing in showjumping, he had many successes with both young and established horses. He was the winner at the Royal Manx show some years back.

Moving onto dressage, he undertook the British Dressage judges training day held by Steven Clarke, the UKs International judge. He has competed at regional, national and Premier League in dressage. He has judged for many years including at the Royal Yorkshire Showground for a finals class. He also spent some time as resident trainer for Rochdale Riding Club.

In addition to some additional professional qualifications, he holds a Diploma in Sport Psychology and is currently undertaking a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy practitioner course which he hopes to use for nervous or anxious clients.

At the moment he is at Braeden every Sunday and is also looking a doing an additional day during the week due to demand.

He is happy to work with clients at any level in both disciplines but he really enjoys starting a blank page with complete novices. As a general rule of thumb, 4 is around the age lessons start.

Over recent years he has specialised in getting people back into the saddle after accidents or injuries which have created both physical and emotional issues. Lessons can be tailored to the individual circumstances using different techniques such as grounding techniques.

To get in touch you can use telephone 07535 749728. Text is usually best.He deals with his own bookings directly so please contact him rather than the Trekking Centre.
